Verizon bridge new Mobile USB broadband gap

With the world becoming more dependent on 3G broadband technology, it only seems logical that netbooks should begin to have similar equipment so that travelers can get an internet connection regardless of where they end up.

Verizon Wireless and ZTE USA will attempt to bridge the gap in networks with a new Mobile USB broadband that is set to hit stores soon called the AD3700. Among the perks of the new USB is that it is able to offer worldwide connectivity including connections to areas that use GSM, EV-DO, EDGE, GPS<>

The AD3700 will run over the Verizon network and comes equipped with VZAccess Manager Software so that connection to available networks is simple and easy.

Specs on the new USB modem include overall dimensions of 3.1” x 1.7” x 0.5”, a USB 2.0 port, total weight of 28.34 grams, and compatibility with Windows Vista and XP.

The AD3700 USB is set to retail at about $79.99 with the offer of a $50.00 mail in rebate upon signing up for a two year contract with Verizon which of course is required in order to access any broadband networks with the modem.
